Small cute and really good - Soundgil in Switzerland

They fascinated me for their minimalist design and the dimensions. Their sound quality is convincing, their precision workmanship is first class. Their price tag is normal and they are some of these gizmos that make live nicer and more enjoyable. These are among the first loudspeakers in this quality that can be used connected with a Telephone.

Soundgil is now imported in Switzerland trough us, ask us for a list of dealers carrying our products.

Positive Feedback Award at AXPONA for Merging+Nadac

Merging+Nadac had a great listening room at AXPONA 2018 for with partner manufacturers (PSI Audio, Purist Audio Design, Star Sound Technologies & Acoustic Geometry). They received a Positive Feedback Award.
If you have not seen it yet, check NativeDSD's blog who featured a nice series of articles titled 'Merging preps for AXPONA 2018' covering the whole show, written by Michael Broughton from the Audiophile Source. Here is an excerpt of the last Axpona Show report post:

“How did things go? Are we happy with the end results? Would we do this again?

All of this stuff we do in audio can and should be distilled down to one thing, the music! Did we get not just good music at Axpona 2018, but were we able to reach that somewhat intangible border between the elusive magical presentation of lifelike music versus a really expensive stereo system that just plays loud?

Based on the comments of those of you who visited the Merging Technologies room I would say yes. We crossed into the borderlands where such things exist. So much so that Positive Feedback has awarded all the participants in the Merging Technologies room with their second Audio Oasis award. Making that two out of three shows in the past few years. A well deserved congratulations to all involved!! So how did things go, quite well I would say.”

Klangschloss Greifensee 2018

What a show has been the 2018 edition of the Klangschloss.ch in Greifenberg. Very enjoyable and very smooth in the long run.
Public was at a very high musical level, presentations were amazing, location was gorgeous… and we had a beautiful weather ;-)

We had a big setup composed by:
- Merging Nadac 8 channel DAC-Preamplifier with external power supply
- Gato Audio CD Player
- Gato Audio Mono Power Amplifiers
- Whole cabling by Cammino
- Decouplers from Omicron
- Loudspeakers Genuin FS 1 MK 2 from Blumenhofer
- Rack studied and developed by us in Attalens
From the pictures You can have more information about the components and how they have been connected in our setup

The listening room was split in half: we shared the room with Illusonic, a Swiss company specialised in digital sound processing. This is not our philosophy, it is a different approach that can suit quite a lot of situations, where it is not possible to work with analogue technologies. Very appreciable.

We only had digital music, played with a Roon-based control. It was the first time since longer time that browsing the titles on the iPad gave a certain analogue feeling. Andrea says that he will investigate Roon as soon as he is at home, when an LP-convinced like him says so, it must mean something.
At the show there were several rooms playing completely analogue setups, as You can see from the pictures, with reel to reel and really classic 40 years and older turntables.

One really amazing part were the presentations that occurred in the show days. Here You can download it and get a short feeling, of what Andrea Vitali from Blumenhofer Acoustics lectured. There were much more people in the lecture, than he expected. The feedback was positive, very informal and informative speech, they said. Andrea accepted the compliment and enjoyed the questions after the lecture.

We all enjoyed the show at the Klangschloss and the great engagement of Marcus to have a great show in the amazing avenue. Looking forward for the Klangschloss 2019.
In the meantime You can enjoy here some pictures of the 2018 event

MERGING+NADAC reviewed by The Ear

Jason Kennedy from the-ear.net reviewed the MERGING+NADAC with POWER setup.

 Merging+Nadac reviewed by The Ear

Originally the Swiss brand brought out the NADAC network attached DAC, essentially a digital to analogue converter with a network connection that meant you could send music data to it over Ethernet. Their next step was to create the Merging Player which is nearly identical to a NADAC except that it has a network streamer onboard, it has the same casework and name on the front but extra electronics inside. More recently they have released an external power supply for both NADAC and Player called logically enough, Power. ”
